Andrew moves closer to family
Milnathort
Andrew, wife Laura and son Ruaraidh were looking to make a move closer to family and found the perfect Springfield home for them.
We moved into our Springfield home in Milnathort in November 2023, and it’s been a fantastic experience so far. Having grown up in Perth, I knew I wanted to be closer to my parents, and after living in Livingston for a while, we were looking for more space and somewhere that had a real community feel.
Kinross, a stones throw from the house, ticked all the boxes for us, and the Milnathort development in particular felt like the perfect place. It’s an extension of the village, so there’s already a small centre with local amenities, which makes it feel more connected than many other new build developments we looked at.
I’d come across Springfield before through my work in planning and consulting and knew they had a strong reputation for building high-quality homes. What stood out for me was their approach to landscaping and design—it’s much more distinctive and varied compared to some of the other more monotonous developments we saw. When we found the Culbin house style, it ticked all our boxes with its modern, open-plan layout, ample storage, and the added bonus of a garage.
This is the first new build we’ve purchased, and we’ve been really impressed. There were a few complications with the sale of our previous home, but Springfield were understanding and flexibile which made the buying process so much easier.
Since moving in, we’ve been welcomed by a friendly community, and despite the ongoing construction around the development, it’s been surprisingly non-disruptive. The site manager has been incredibly helpful, resolving any small snags quickly and professionally, and Sally, the sales consultant, was always on hand to answer any questions we had along the way.
Overall, we’re really happy with our decision to move to Milnathort—it’s given us the space we were after, a lovely community, and a well-designed home that feels perfect for us.
