Under the kitchen sink
Underneath the sink are two isolation valves. One is for your main water supply and the other is for your external tap.
We suggest you turn off the external tap isolation valve off before the cold winter weather starts, and then drain all of the water by turning on the garden tap until the water runs dry. This will ensure the pipe is empty.
If there is water in it, this can potentially cause your pipe to freeze and then burst, which can cause damage to the pipe as well as your kitchen units.
In the spring, you can then turn the valve back on under the sink so you can begin using your outside tap again.
